Opening to the Warmth of Love
The warmth of love and compassion is always available.
But we are not always open to it.
We may believe we are not worthy or that we need to change something in order to access it.
The shame and guilt we carry may tether us to a life of suffering.
But this tether is not as solid as it seems.
We don’t have to suffer.
Life doesn’t have to feel so hard.
Everything becomes so much easier when we open ourselves to unconditional and unreasonable love; love beyond reasons and conditions.
This love is already in our hearts at this very moment. But we have closed ourselves off from it.
The belief that we are unworthy and need to be punished. The shame we carry. The guilt. The fear of love.
By bringing it to the light of awareness, we can transform our suffering and set it free.
All it takes is the willingness to see it.
The willingness to truly feel the pain we carry and warmly embrace it.
To let the tears come and let the dam we have built up to try and hold back the pain be gently dismantled.
We try so hard to not feel the pain but where does this get us? If we look deeply into our experience we will see that our attempts to run, hide, and avoid the pain inside only add to the pain we feel.
The way out is through.
Through the very pain, fear, guilt, and anxiety we are trying to avoid. The avoidance of it is what is making life feel so unbearable. If we open ourselves to what we feel inside, the feelings will come up and pass right through us.
It is safe to say yes to whatever we are experiencing. We can stop running for a single moment and simply notice whatever is coming up within us with a smile.
This is an option for us all right now.
Try it out and see what happens.
